GT V. NC State – Without Russell Wilson I can’t see how NC State has much of a chance building on the success which he created last year. As seen by this game NC State couldn’t gain the lead not for lack of trying. Orwin Smith on the other hand (this “bloggers” favorite GT player) had a awesome game rushing for three TD’s which seems to be how Coach Johnson drew it up. I am still concerned as to why the defense is allowing so many points but I guess as long as you win the fans won’t care.
Texas V. Iowa ST. – Another Revenge win for the Longhorns which They need more of before the Red River Rivalry but what can you do about that. The chip on the shoulder mentally was only slightly there which I believe is due to the number of young players you are starting this season. I would have love to see the ‘Horns put up 50 but i can settle for 37. Because these young guys need a confidence boost to feel more sound before playing OU because they aren’t push overs.
Nebraska V. Wisconsin – Speak of the Devil Russell Wilson went H.A.M. Saturday night against the Black Shirt defense. In the first half Wilson threw for 233 yds and went 12 of 16 for two TD’s. Which open the flood gates for Montee Ball’s 4 TD’s on 150 yds. Oh and Russell rushed for a TD… I dont know but I can’t see how it was better for anybody other than Russell and his new Wisconsin teammates for him to not return to NC State. But I am sure Glennon is happy to start.
