Oregon v Washington – LaMichael James returns with a 165 yd game on 25 carries. With Darron Thomas going 13 of 25 for 169 and 1 TD so all in all it was a good outing for the Ducks. Though Keith Price did lend the Ducks a hand with the two interceptions but he put up a hell of game 24 of 35 for 143 yds and 2 TDs this sophomore is one to watch.
Texas Tech v. Texas – Ground Game Juggernauts put up 237 yds on the ground in the first half on their way to 441 yds rushing for the game. We have named the new formation the “Wild Fozz” and its worked their first three scores were out of this formation.
LSU v. Bama – Tough defensive battle in which the missed field goals determined the victor. The game was such that if either team had scored a TD the game would have been a shoot out. I still feel LSU was the better team and what held them back from domination was coaching. Les Miles while though great is not the best at reading his own team a capitalizing on their strengths. The team this year is extremely fast and Miles uses a slow powerful offensive scheme. Secondly Miles didn’t use his two QB’s appropriately. If he would have allowed Lee to either stay in the game, showing trust, or just kept him out, showing faith in Jefferson, then the team would have been able to build a momentum with a constant QB.
Hallows’ Eve has now come and gone and with the general children, candy, adult costume parties, and mo’ candy. This year brought something a little different from the staff at XXL magazine. A parody video of Lil Wayne, Bun B, Shyne, Nas, Tech 9, Andre 3000 and others preforming a track(s) from Lil Wayne’s recent album: The Carter IV. The instrumental for the Intro, the Interlude, and the Outro tracks was all the same so in my mind its one track. Well that being I like the track especially once I got to Tech 9 and Andre 3K. The video is funny, and therefore a parody, because in it the staff is dressed up as the artists and “preformed” the track.
My only question is if King Magazine did a Halloween outfit video what that might look like … ?
So we know the kids talented and is a suburban phenom. So its not a surprise that he wants to try his hand at hip-hop. I wouldn’t discourage it. Especially now in the time where Waka Flocka Flame, Future, and Rick Ross can get put on. I don’t see the problem. Some might say content …. I say “he’s a young white suburban kid … he’s got girls, parents, and school… no drug lords, no gangs, and no broken household”. Others might argue he isn’t talented … I say “he sings, and plays multiple instruments … WELL. So i think it’s OK if he has to improve on something”. So with that being said I think for the place he is at its a decent job on the Otis “freestyle”, seemed a bit to well rehearsed for a true freestyle, but definitely room for improvement. Next move needs to be a DJ Drama mixtape though, not a knock on Barack O’ Dram but you know if you want people to listen to it you need that “Gangsta Grillz” official seal on you mixtape, or maybe DJ Kay Slay but that might be pushing it. Or if he can find DJ Clue … maybe help him jump start his career again …
So if any one has seen the Marvin Gaye & Charrdonay video then you know that the song exist. Well I had the idea in my mind, before the video came out, of how the video would be laid out. Lots of women a crazy party and a bit of plot. Well as you all know, or should know by now having watched the Official Video, that this was not at all how the director of the music video wished it. The video seems like it belonged in a list of top ten hip-hop videos from the 90’s. Not only that but no sub-plot, so I went a saw the Taio Cruz “Dynamite” video and it had everything I wanted from the sub-plot to women everywhere. So I had to make a new mash-up. Here it is ENJOY:
Dynamite X Marvin Gaye & Charrdonay
GT v. Clemson – The Jackets pulled off the upset. The Tigers were with out Ellington in the back field and that hurt them relying on true freshman Bellamy, who let them down royally. The Tech defense stood out stellar play for the corner J. Thomas who came through late in the game with two interceptions to save the game. Washington’s decisions and Orwin Smith’s speed on the toss keep the offense scoring on way to a 31 – 17 route of the then #5 Tigers. The big question is how will this carry in to next week against the Virginia Tech Hokies who are in the driver’s seat of the ACC Coastal Division.
Oregon v. Wash State – The ducks in their usual fashion scored and did it fast. The offense returned its two most prominent stars/starters with Darren Thomas and LeMichael James returning to the line up. In true Darren Thomas fashion mid way through the second quarter scrambles from the pocket and throws a pass on the run to a wide open L. Tunei for a touchdown. Though Thomas was pulled at the half the electrifying Bryan Bennett didn’t disappoint. Connecting twice in the third for TD’s. While LeMichael James was eased back into the offense so look for him to reclaim the reigns shortly.
Texas v. Kansas – “I THREW IT ON THE GROUND” said Texas this week against the Jayhawks. The Longhorns had 441 yds on the ground with Bergeron, Brown, Goodwin, & Whittaker all had over 50 yds rushing with Brown and Bergeron combining for 255. The defense put on a clinic allowing only 46 total yards from Kansas and -2 of those yds came from 20 rushing attempts. It seems like the team is headed in the right direction. Seeing how David Ash is getting the start over McCoy we’ll see how they far against the Sooner Topplers, Texas Tech, at home next week.
