If last weeks game verses Boomer Sooner is any indication as to the talent of the Texas Tech defensive back field then they are in deep trouble as the Geno Smith lead Mountaineers roll into town.
Geno Smith is on a tear this season even in the new conference he seems to have picked up where he left off last season. Now that he has thrown 204 passes without an interception he looks to continue the tread against Texas Tech. The Red Raiders on paper seem to be more of a speed bump to this offense then anything so look out if your a Red Raider fan.
The one thing that Texas Tech does have going for them is Lubbock in October. In both 2009 and 2011 high power offenses came into town only to be stunned. In ’09the 7th ranked Raiders had to have Crabtree dance along the sideline as time ran out, and last year Seth Doege threw for 441 yds and 4 TDs while Landry Jones threw for 412 yds and 5 TDs but an interception he threw and a fumble proved to be the Sooners Achilles heel. In short if the Red Raider fans can keep the magic going and will on there team … Geno Smiths first loss this season can be accomplished.
